Dredging dates back to ancient cultures and has been used for ages. In actuality, dredging was first used by the Egyptians, who used crude implements to remove silt from the Nile River. When we go back to the 17th century, the Dutch are using dredging to recover land that has been lost to the sea on a completely new scale. Since then, dredging methods have changed dramatically as a result of the advent of more advanced equipment and creative strategies.
